KITCHEN PAILS
Each unit is eligible for one complimentary 2 gallon kitchen pail to collect food scraps and other compostables. Kitchen pails are a convenient and space efficient way to keep the kitchen neat and clean. When the pail is filled, you simply toss the contents into the green compost bin on the property.

BATTERY BUCKETS
Apartment complexes with 6 units or more are eligible for a complimentary battery bucket. Establish a central location at your property- a lobby, multi-use room, or mail room- for residents to place their batteries in a collection bucket. Batteries contain hazardous material and cannot be placed in the trash, recycling or compost. Download the battery poster.

When the bin is full call us at 415-330-1300 to schedule a pick up, provided by Recology at no charge.

FREE BULKY ITEM RECYCLING (BIR)
Schedule a curbside Bulky Item Recycling pickup for large items, like old furniture and appliances. Each unit in a multi-family residential building is eligible to receive one, no-charge curbside collection. Additional Bulky Item Recycling collections are available upon request for a nominal fee.

Once you’ve scheduled a pickup, please place all items next to the curb in front of your residence (take care not to block the sidewalk), and attach a sign that reads BIR (Bulky Item Recycling). This program does not accept hazardous waste, construction and demolition debris, or auto parts and tires. Inside collection services are available for an extra charge (to cover labor – please call estimates).

Schedule a collection by using our web form, or by calling Customer Service at 415-330-1300.
