RECYCLING Mountain View businesses typically utilize mixed recycling. Recyclables must be clean and dry. Accepted materials include paper, cardboard, metal cans, aluminum, glass bottles, and plastic containers such as bottles, tubs, and jugs. |

TRASH NOT ACCEPTED: bulky items, hazardous, and universal waste. |
- Hazardous & universal waste are not accepted in any Recology-serviced container.
- These items include batteries, electronics, fluorescent lightbulbs, paint, oil, cleaning solutions, pesticides, gas cylinders, medications, and sharps.

- Mountain View Recycling Center: Extra recyclables and some difficult-to-dispose items accepted. Check accepted items and operating hours.
- Recology South Bay Transfer Station: extra trash, extra yard trimmings, construction/ demolition material, metal, sheetrock, wood, carpet, carpet padding, furniture, mattresses, box springs, appliances, tires, monitors/ TVs, stall cleanup accepted. Credit or debit only. 1675 Rogers Ave, San Jose. Monday – Friday, 6 AM – 5 PM. Saturday, 6 AM – 2PM.
