2025-2026 Holiday Service Reminder
Since Christmas and New Year’s Day both fall on a Thursday this year, there will be no collection service in San Francisco on 12/25 and 1/1 to allow Recology employee-owners to spend time with their families. During these weeks, Thursday and Friday customers will experience a one-day delay in service. Thank you and happy holidays!
Thanksgiving Service
Reminder that collection will continue as usual this week. Please place your garbage, recycling, and compost bins out as normal. Thank you and happy Thanksgiving!
2025 Recology San Francisco Rate Increase
The Refuse Rate Board for the City and County of San Francisco has adopted a 3-year rate order that includes annual rate adjustments for recycling, organics, and garbage collection. This comes after a 10-month rate-setting process, including several public hearings, that considered Recology proposals, public comments, and input from City Departments.

Artist in Residence Program
Since 1990, over 190 professional artists and 60 student artists have completed residencies in San Francisco. The studio is located at Recology San Francisco, a 47-acre facility that is also home to a three-acre sculpture garden containing work by former artists-in-residence.
