Electronic Waste – Yamhill

Electronic waste, such as fluorescent tubes and consumer batteries, are prohibited from the trash or landfill bin because they contain poisonous heavy metals such as lead, mercury and cadmium that can pollute groundwater near landfills and pose harmful effects on public health.

Electronic waste includes: batteries, fluorescent bulbs, computers, monitors, cords, phones, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, microwave ovens, or iPods.

DROP OFF

Drop off electronic items at Recology Western Oregon’s Recovery Zone.  There is no charge for electronics disposal at Recology Western Oregon Recovery Zone.

Oregon E-Cycles
Oregon E-Cycles is a free recycling program for computers, monitors and TVs. The program is financed by electronics manufacturers with oversight from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).

Oregon E-Cycles Drop Off
Visit Oregon E-Cycles to find a local drop-off location. Anyone can take seven or fewer computers (desktops, laptops and tablets), monitors, TVs and printers at a time to participating Oregon E-Cycles collection sites for free recycling. Computer peripherals (keyboards and mice) are also accepted free of charge. Other types of electronics are currently not included in this program
