There will be no change in collection services for our customers on Friday, July 4th. Please set out containers as usual for service.
Recology is proud to release our 2025 Sustainability Update, marking another year of progress in building a more sustainable and circular future. We’re not just collecting materials—we're reshaping systems, deepening community partnerships, and creating real momentum toward a more sustainable, circular economy.
The updated guide includes everything you need to know for the year ahead — what goes where, what’s accepted (and not) in recycling and organics, how to use your kitchen pail, on-call cleanups, hazardous waste drop-off, and more.
Over 100 professional artists and twenty student artists have completed residencies with Recology’s San Francisco Artist in Residence Program. See how they make art from your trash.
There are several items that we can’t take in our recycling program, but we don’t want to see them end up in the landfill either. Learn where to dispose of them nearby.
Electronic waste, such as fluorescent tubes and consumer batteries, are prohibited from the trash. Please drop them off at the San Bruno Transfer Station for safe disposal.
