Your Carts

Recology Auburn Placer provides residential and commercial yard waste, recycling, and garbage collection to the communities of Rocklin, Auburn, Colfax, Town of Loomis and Unincorporated Placer County. We work with you to tailor recycling programs based on your needs.

Wondering what goes where? Check out WhatBin.

Leaves, grass clippings, branches, and weeds can go in your yard waste bin.
*Some Recology Auburn Placer service areas do not have yard waste service. Please contact us for verification.

Recyclables and garbage should be placed in your grey cart. It is not necessary to sort the material as it will be taken to a materials recovery facility (MRF) and sorted for you. Learn about your one bin.

This includes paper, bottles, cans, plastics, ceramics, and glass to name a few! NO household hazardous waste.

In most areas, customers may choose to use their own 32-gallon container, which will be maintained by the customer. If you provide your own cans, they must be no larger than 30-33 gallons, weigh no more than 50 pounds when full and have handles and tight fitting lids. With this level of service, green waste containers are not available.

If requested, Recology Auburn Placer will provide 90-gallon containers. Rates vary depending on amount of material collected. These carts are Recology Auburn Placer property and are provided free of charge. However, the 90 gallon cart represents an increased level of service and you will be charged at the rate determined for collection service. Should you damage the cart, a replacement fee will be charged to your account.

Please place containers at the curb by 5:00 am on your service day, or the night before. Do not place materials on top or next to your containers.
