The Ashland Recycling Center does not accept electronics, car batteries, heavy metals, or motor oil, but you can recycle these for free at the Valley View Transfer Station.

  • Yard Debris Drop Off
    Yard Debris Drop Off

    This facility accepts yard debris for drop off and composting. Yard debris may consist of leaves, branches, twigs, soils, or plants.

  • Recycling Center
    Recycling Center

    Drop off recyclable materials for proper disposal at this location. We'll make sure that it gets recycled instead of heading to landfill.

Accepted Items

  • Ink Jet Cartridges & Cell Phones: Residential customers can drop off up to three (3) empty ink jet cartridges. There is no limit on cell phones.
  • Commingled recycling
  • Glass containers – glass is collected in a separate area from other
    recyclable materials. Do not put your glass inside plastic bags, paper bags
    or paper 6-pack holders
  • Bottles and cans
  • Cardboard
  • Crosscut “confetti” paper*
  • Styrofoam “peanut” exchange*
  • CFL’s, Fluorescent Tubes – Residential customers can bring up to 3 fluorescent light tubes or compact fluorescent bulbs to the Ashland Recycling Center (Water Street) per visit. Commercial customers may drop them off at the Valley View Transfer Station.
  • Plastic bags & shrink wrap – clean and dry with no food residue. Place plastic bags and shrink wrap in separate containers that are clearly marked.
