Recology Butte Colusa Counties has received a variance by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) to handle and transport treated wood waste (TWW) at our Oroville Transfer Station located at 2720 South 5th Ave. With this variance, the Oroville transfer station can accept TWW from customers who provide a TWW transporter variance and/or generator variance.
For customers without a variance, TWW may be accepted if the transporter provides the TWW generator’s name, address, phone number, and the transporter’s name, address, phone number, driver’s license number and vehicle license plate number when dropping off the material.
Please note: Treated wood waste must be separated from construction and demolition debris loads (ie: place TWW on top of load).

All TWW handled by our facility will be transported to a TWW facility that has been issued a TWW variance from DTSC.
