Dear Recology King County Customers, 

Recology recently experienced a cybersecurity incident which caused some of our systems and applications to be temporarily unavailable. Because of this outage, you may have experienced a delay in billing.  

Customers who are billed quarterly will be billed January 12th for their November, December, and January service.  

Customers who are billed monthly will receive their November invoice on January 12th. Billing for December service will take place in late January. 

Customers will still have the full 30-day window to make their payment. If you currently use autopay, your payment will process on January 25th for invoices issued on January 12th. 

All customers can make payments through their usual preferred method. We encourage you to take advantage of our secure online bill pay site at to make a payment or set up automatic payments.
