I am a visual artist working with traditional and alternative photographic processes. For this residency I am looking forward to exploring new forms of visual representation. As a self-identified Witch, my research into spiritual belief systems leads me to discoveries that are often incorporated into my artistic practice. My modality is to examine objects as symbols—signifiers for myths, folklore, superstitions, and beliefs. I create an environment in which the artwork itself is in a constant state of transformation, where image, object, symbol and story are in flux. It is in these spaces between forms that understanding occurs.
