For large items that don’t fit or belong in your carts, like old furniture, appliances, or mattresses, schedule a Bulky Item Pickup.
SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTS
may schedule four free curbside pickups annually. If you exceed your number of free pickups, you may request additional collections for a fee.
MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTS
must coordinate with their property manager to schedule one free pickup each calendar year for the entire complex.
COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS
can schedule Bulky Item Pickup for a fee.
SPECIFICATIONS
ONE RESIDENTIAL BIP is equal to:
- Two cubic yards equal to (3ft x 3ft x 6ft) = (12) 32-gallon bags*
- AND (3) individual large items**
- *Each 32-gallon bag cannot be more than 60lbs
**All individual items need to be within 3ft (D) x 3ft (H) x 6ft (L) and under 100 lbs so our drivers can lift them
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- All long items (wood, poles, pipes) must be bundled up to remain secure.
- Do NOT place hazardous waste or liquids in bags (e-waste, paint, sharps) – this has potential to cause fires at our facility and hurt our workers
- When calling in to schedule your BIP, you must provide an itemized list of what you will be placing on the street by the curb.
- If you need to add or subtract items to your BIP, you must call back in.
- If we see more than what is on your itemized list, we may:
- Not pick up your BIP
- Use an additional one of free BIP’s with your approval
- Charge you for an additional BIP if you have run out of free BIP’s with your approval
