Senior Service Program
We understand that the rising cost of recycling and garbage service may create a financial hardship for seniors who rely on a fixed income. We also recognize that many seniors do not produce a significant amount of material.
To address these situations we’ve created the Senior Service Program. This program is not ideal for every senior citizen, however, it does offer significant savings for those meet the following guidelines:
- You are 65 or older
- You use a 20-gallon can
Please note: if you do have occasional extra trash, it should be placed in a separate bag. Extra trash will be charged at the current applicable rate.

Audits and Consultations
Our team helps businesses apply best management practices in collecting recycling, compost and landfill materials. We provide a single point of contact to help you implement new recycling programs or improve your existing program and make sure you have the resources you need.

Special Event Collection & Hauling
Planning an event in Humboldt County? We provide special event recycling, compost, and landfill collection services, from small meetings to large festivals. You’ll work closely with our Waste Zero Specialists to ensure maximum recycling participation at your event, and you’ll be provided with sorting posters, flyers, and guides.
Holiday Tree Collection
We will be picking up Christmas trees on Saturday, January 7 and Saturday January 14 for a $5 charge. Please call our office to schedule.
If you subscribe to green waste service you may leave your tree next to your cart on your regular service day and it will be picked up for no additional charge.
