For large items that do not fit or belong in your bins, like old furniture, appliances, or mattresses, you may schedule a Bulky Item Collection by calling 206.762.4900 or clicking the button below. Service charges and disposal/recycling fees* apply.

Set-out Instructions:

• Items must be placed at the curb.
• Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers.

*Once per calendar year, Des Moines residential customers may request a free “Curbside Clean-Up” of up to one cubic yard of extra garbage, plus two non-appliance bulky items such as couches or large chairs. Bagged garbage or individual items must be smaller than 3ft x 3ft x 3ft or weigh less than 65 lbs. Collection of larger Bulky Items (3ft x 3ft x 3ft or greater than 65 lbs) may be arranged for a fee as noted above (after the two non-appliance bulky item limit is exceeded).
