Electronic & Universal Waste

Electronic and Universal waste, such as computer monitors, TVs, fluorescent tubes, and consumer batteries, are prohibited from the trash. Electronic and Universal waste contains a variety of toxic components like lead, cadmium and mercury, arsenic, and flame retardants, and when dumped in a landfill, these materials can contaminate the soil and groundwater, thus impacting surrounding areas.

Examples of electronic waste include: microwaves, T.V.’s, computer monitors and towers, cell phones, iPods, DVD players, stereos, etc.

Examples of Universal Waste Include: used motor oil and filters, batteries, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, SHARPS, etc.

DROP OFF

Electronic Waste:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sat: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Universal Waste:
1st and 3rd Friday of each month: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Electronic waste items including monitors, TVs, and microwaves are a minimum of $15

  • Maxwell Transfer Station
    This facility only accepts Motor Oil and Filters, Appliances, E-Waste, Batteries, Fluorescent Tubes, and Sharps.
