The Members of the San Benito County Integrated Waste Management Regional Agency, including City of Hollister, City of San Juan Bautista, and County of San Benito, are holding public hearings regarding annual adjustments to garbage, recycling, and organics collection rates for a period of up to five years beginning July 1, 2026, in accordance with Proposition 218 noticing requirements and the applicable franchise agreement with Recology.

The proposed rates support continued compliance with state-mandated recycling and organics requirements while maintaining community programs and services such as:

  • Free bulky item curbside pickup

  • Community compost giveaways

  • Recycling and special waste collection events
