Hello, Maple Valley residents!

We’re excited to share that the launch of our new Maple Valley Recology is just around the corner! As we prepare the new location to provide hard-to-recycle opportunities for residents, we are hosting small pop-ups for Maple Valley residents on select dates (more information to come regarding the next events!)

When: Friday September 26th, 11AM-6PM

Where: Maple Valley Community Center 22010 SE 248th St, Maple Valley, WA 98038 (in the parking lot)

What: Maple Valley residents can drop off LIMITED* quantities of the following hard-to-recycle items: batteries, fluorescent bulbs, textiles, books, electronics, small appliances, Styrofoam, and small propane canisters. We will also be offering customer service support in person!

 

Item Limits*:

    • Batteries: Limit 1/4 gallon of household batteries per drop off. Must be taped on each positive and negative end with CLEAR PACKING TAPE only.
    • Fluorescent bulbs: Limit 10 bulbs and/or tubes per drop off. Unbroken bulbs only. Tubes must not exceed 4ft.
    • Textiles: Limit 32 gallons per drop off. Must be bagged and clean (stains & rips ok, but must be free of mold, mildew & hazardous material). Bed pillows NOT accepted.
    • Electronics/accessories: Limit 3 per drop off. Item must be 2 x 2 x 2ft or smaller & less than 60lbs. Flat screen TVs accepted up to 40in wide. Working & non-working items ok.
    • Small appliances: Limit 3 per drop off. Item must be 2 x 2 x 2ft or smaller & less than 60lbs. Working & non-working items ok.
    • Styrofoam: Limit 32 gallons per drop off. Accepted types are rigid Styrofoam blocks and clean Styrofoam take out containers. Items must be clean and dry, free of tape, labels, and excessive pen or crayon marks.
    • Hardcover books: Limit 15 per drop off.
    • Small propane canisters: Limit 3 per drop off; only empty cans accepted and no tanks. 1lb size max and pure propane only.

     

    Please note: we will not accept any other hard-to-recycle items besides the ones listed above.
