Recology will collect natural, undecorated, unflocked holiday trees in lengths up to 4 feet.
Flocked trees are not accepted in compost collection because flocking contains non-compostable materials including adhesives, flame retardants, or additives. Flocked trees may be disposed as garbage for an additional fee.
Residential customers who subscribe to compost collection service may put their trees out for collection on their regular collection day.
Residential customers who do not subscribe to compost collection service may schedule collection of properly prepared trees during the first two full weeks in January (January 2 – 6 and January 9 – 13) at no additional charge. Contact customer service at 425.837.1234 or at Issaquah@Recology.com by Friday, December 30th to schedule a tree collection on the day our compost collection truck is in your area.
