During the month of January, Recology will collect natural, undecorated, unflocked holiday trees in lengths up to 6 feet.
Residential customers who subscribe to food/yard waste collection services may put trees out for collection on their regular collection day.
Residential customers who DO NOT subscribe to food/yard waste collection service can schedule a tree collection for an additional fee by contacting customer service by Friday, December 21st at 425.413.1555 or maplevalley@recology.com
Flocked trees are not accepted in compost collection because flocking contains non-compostable materials including adhesives, flame retardants, or additives. Flocked trees may be disposed of as garbage for an additional fee.
