During the month of January, Recology will collect unflocked, undecorated, natural holiday trees in lengths up to 4 feet.
Customers who subscribe to food/yard waste collection service may place trees out for collection on their regularly scheduled food/yard waste collection day.
Residential customers who do not subscribe to organics collection may schedule collection of properly prepared trees during the month of January at no additional charge. Contact customer service at 206.767.3322 or at Burien@recology.com by Friday, January 21st to schedule a tree collection.
Flocked trees are not accepted with food/yard waste collection because flocking contains non-compostable materials including adhesives, flame retardants, or additives. Flocked trees may be disposed of as garbage for an additional fee.
