Join us on Saturday, September 26th!
Keeping material out of the landfill and helping the community by offering free usable items.
Recology Sonoma Marin will host its free, community-wide Recology Reuse Bazaar on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Grace Pavilion, Sonoma County Fairgrounds, 1350 Bennett Valley Rd., Santa Rosa, giving anyone a chance to drop off usable household goods and shop for items they need at no cost. The Recology Reuse Bazaar is presented in partnership with the City of Santa Rosa, the Reuse Alliance, and Conservation Corps North Bay.
Accepted items include furniture, household decor, sports equipment, unbagged clothing and shoes, books, electronics, and small appliances. Hazardous waste, large appliances, liquids, pressure-treated wood, car seats, and other restricted materials will not be accepted. Mattresses and tires are accepted for special-handling recycling only.
The day will run in two phases:
Drop-off: 8-11 AM
Cars will line up, drive into the Grace Pavilion building, volunteers will help unload the car, then the car will proceed to the exit off the premises. Gates off Bennett Valley Road will close at 11 AM sharp.
Free shopping: 12-3 PM
Shoppers can line up on foot, outside the front main entrance of Grace Pavilion and wait for doors to open at noon. Shoppers can then select any items they would like to take home. Once they are ready to leave, they must “check out” by weighing the items at the check-out counter (This is to track the weight of material shopped and kept out of the landfill). Shoppers can walk items to their car out in the parking lot or place them in the hold area and drive their car in to pick them up. Please note: We ask all attendees to be kind and courteous to each other as they shop to maintain a pleasant experience for all. We reserve the right to ask any attendees who do not respect these rules to leave.
The event has grown quickly since it launched in 2024. In its first year, participants recovered more than 23,000 pounds of materials and diverted 75% of them from landfill through reuse and recycling, with remaining usable items donated to local nonprofits and thrift partners. In 2025, the total climbed to more than 34,000 pounds. Help us keep this event going and recover even more material this year. Spread the word, and we hope to see you there!
