Sisi Ivy is an artist born in San Jose, CA. While working across mediums, she pokes at the role of “photographer” as someone who creates translations of the physical world. Through careful acts of research and observation, she searches for ways to understand relationships between place and human narrative. Informed by her upbringing in Silicon Valley, her current work traces the landscape of the tech capital while examining its manifestations of progress, both physical and imagined.
Ivy’s work has been shown at Dead End Vintage, San Francisco State Fine Arts Gallery, and San Francisco State Martin Wong Gallery, all in San Francisco, and she has been included in the publication Lucky Star Magazine. She currently lives in San Francisco and is pursuing a BFA in Studio Art at San Francisco State University.
