We hope that you have been having a great holiday season! Recology San Bruno customers, we will be suspending on-call clean-up collections from January 5 – 16, 2026. Collections will resume on January 19, 2026.
During those two weeks (1/5 – 1/16), we will be collecting your holiday trees on your regular service day! Trees can be composted, but only if they’re completely free of all tinsel, decorations, plastic bags, stands, and lights! Once your tree is bare, you can place any branches or sections smaller than 3 feet into your compost bin. Please place unflocked trees smaller than 6 feet beside your compost bin the night before your collection day. If your tree is taller than 6 feet, please cut it in half! Any trees collected before January 5 or after January 16 must fit entirely inside the green compost cart with the lid closed.
